Monday's Flower -Gladiolus

A few years ago my daughter gave me a few Gladiolus bulbs.  I planted them in a sunny area and forgot about them. Then each August I was greeted by these beautiful flowers.

Gladiolus comes in a variety of colors and is a nice addition to a garden.   If you have your home on the market in the summer just imagine how nice your garden would look with a variety of Gladiolus.

It is a plant even those without a green thumb can grow successfully.  You can find growing and maintenace information here

Those are beautiful, Jennifer.  I always thought they were gladiolas. I'll have to look them up.

Jennifer we have a few gladiolus along the side of our house, and they come up faithfully every year and require very little attention.

Debbie both terms are used, although I found Gadiolus more frequently used even with reference to photos of the flowers.
