A Sunday smile

A Sunday smile - The Sunflower

I am seeing fields of sunflowers in bloom.  You really can't miss that bright cheery yellow.  It is almost like having the sun close, that is without the heat.

The Sunflower is such a versatile  plant, it can make you happy, you can eat the seeds and make oil from it.

Enjoy a Sunday smile - The Sunflower.

Jennifer we have a huge field of sunflowers here in CT where they do a sunflower celebration every year.  I have always wanted to go but have not been, maybe with a few more pictures like this I will be motivated to go this year :)

Your Sunday smile is something to bookmark and return to on cold winter days.  The summer season is almost over and we will surely miss the colors of the season.

One of our neighbors has a sunflower that is blooming today. It is about ten feet tall!

Jennifer, your photos are spectacular! I love sunflowers, however had never really thought about how versatile they are.  You made some good observations.
