Hudson Valley Musing

Speechless Sunday -Wild Red Berries

Wild Red Berries seem to be plentiful.  They look so appealing to the eyes, but I am not sure I would but them in my mouth.  I was once told you can eat the fruits that birds eat.  How true is that saying?  I don't know. All I know birds are passing on these Wild Red Berries so I am going to assume they are poisonous wild berries.

Could I be correct? One thing I know the berries are great photography subject.

Know your berries before you take a bite.

Oh yeah, my mom always told us those were poisonous.  We had those in our backyard when I was growing up.

Good idea. If you have doubts about the safety, keep the market! Have a great week!

Debbie I have these in my backyard now.  My son always like to ick berries and it always worried me.  Thankfully he picked the good ones.

Gary Sound advise.

Have a great week too.

Jennifer, I will let them continue to look pretty on the bush, and stick to eating what I know is safe :)

Step away from those berries-  The birds know best  so may I suggest that you admire from afar.

Jennifer, I say that, when in doubt, photograph the berries!  These may not be quite ready for a pie.
