Dutchess County NY Equestrian Properties

Horses

I was recently showing houses in the Town of Clinton in Dutchess County NY when I saw these horses.  This scene jogged my memory, there are many equestrian properties in Dutchess County, and as a matter of fact ,throughout the Mid Hudson Valley.

This area is also known as a second home destination and it is not uncommon for buyers to have as a criteria, a barn or maybe stalls for a horse or two. One such new listing is an equestrian farm listed for 27 million dollars.

Jennifer I have a few properties like this around me.  It is very peaceful to just sit and watch either the horses or cows.  Makes me feel like I am in another place in time.

Jennifer, what a calm sense you get looking at your photo --- no wonder many families request horse property!

Jennifer,

I guess that is surprising to hear.  I don't think of NY that way.  It's often the same for us here in CA as well in that people often think we all live by the ocean here!  One of the great things about getting to know people on AR that live throughout the country is getting a feel for where they live too. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jennifer, I love the red barn and the red and white outbuildings.  Is that grass actually green or am I seeing things?  Very nice photo of your beautiful area.

George I know just what you mean.

Joan I love going by one of these properties.   That day I saw a variety of horses, one came by the fence, sorry no treat :)

Laura so true.

DeeDee most people think of NYC when they think of New York.  The City is just a small part of the State.  Here you will find lots of open spaces and farms.

Mary strange winter, yes that is grass.

Peggy I bet there are areas that have changed quite a bit since you were last here.

Holy Cow twenty seven million! That must be quite a horse property for that kind of money.

Jennifer, when I see the horses in your photograph it reminds me one of the most expensive listing in Venice. 100 acre luxury equestrian estate with 22 stables, 10 paddocks & track, a house and 2 caretaker's apartments for $13,500,000.00

Good Evening Jennifer:

Your post and the comments reminds me of back home in Jamaica.  There is more to the property than meets the eye.  In the midst there may be another Secretariat.  Beautiful Country...
