Over a year ago I was on the Amtrak heading for New York City. This ride is scenic as the train track runs along the Hudson River. I always try to get as many pictures as I can, especially of the bridges.
Here is a shot of a bridge over the Hudson River I took on that trip.

And a very nice bridge it is. What time of the year was it? It looks cold and I don't see leaves but the sky is so blue and puffy clouds doesn't seem to go with it...
That's pretty neat! I've heard of the Hudson but never really seen it, other than when that plan emergency landing ocurred.
Growing up my best friend told me about when her father used to swim in the Hudson River... that was a long, long time ago!
That is a wonderful photo, Jennifer. I haven't been near the Hudson for some time since I moved from Boston to California, but it was always such a beautiful drive along it or across it.

Good Evening Jennifer
Very good picture for Wordless Wednesday...Have a great week
Jennifer, I use to be afraid to go over bridges, but once I went over the Maryland Bay Bridge...I got over my fear...
Hi Jennifer,
Great bridge and terrific picture. I love the cool looking crisp weather. New Your is one place I have never been and want to go to. I am visiting Philadelphia this spring but maybe next spring I will go to New York.
Thanks for sharing my dream city.
Jennifer Having lived in Westchester County and Ridgefield, CT we know one thing - you've got an almost endless supp;y of bridgs to photograph
Yes, that really can be a nice ride along the Hudson line. I'm not familiar w/ that bridge as it must be further North than where I ususally am.
Jennifer, I love to snap photos of local sites, as well. There is so much to see in our country! Thanks for sharing this view:) I am heading to a Buffini Turning Point in Melville, NY, this November. I can only imagine the sites that I will see.
Jennifer, those railroad bridges were built like the rock of Gibraltar in order to hold that much weight.
Evelyn you are right it was taken in the cold month of January.
Cathy I will just have to post more Hudson Valley scene.
Liz I been told about ice skating on the Hudson River. I would noy swim or skate I just love looking at it.
Jeff I agree it is just one of those river that gets your attention.
Lloyd thank you; have a great weekend too.
Rebecca sometimes I have an issue, especially if I am alone. I went over the Maryland Bay Bridge with my eyes closed, thankfully I wasn't the driver :)
Kristin there is much to see in NY and I am not just thinking of NYC. Let me know if you head this way.
Karen so true, and the bridges are great subjects.
Debbie the trip is always a treat. This bridge I think was closer to the city, it was not a major one.
Frances you will see a lot and you can really soak it up if you are not driving.
George I think you are right, for our sake :)
Jennifer -- It is just beautiful on the Hudson up where you are. I have never taken a train trip from there down to the city. When I saw you, I mentioned that trip I took to Marist and the students going into the city from there. It must be a very scenic ride. Will have to do that sometime. I'd like to see that view rather than always seeing it from my car in traffic!
I love to take pictures of bridges too! I shot one in Arkansas last week. I'll have to post it! We can be the bridge club! :)))
