One reason I love the Hudson Valley is because of the variety of trees. Come fall you can truly enjoy the vibrant colors. It is not all fun and games, once these leaves fall then you have to get busy raking. I personally spend hours raking and throwing the leaves in a compost heap to use on my garden come springtime. I make the best of this chore by examining the leaves; and this morning while raking, I came across these red leaves.
There is much to admire in nature even in fallen leaves, and these red leaves sure makes my point.

Jennifer - You stopped to SEE the RED. I don't think many of us would as we get caught up in the daily chores of life. Good for you to take notice of something special. You are special.
WOW, I have never seen a red color leaf like that. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your fall.
Hi Jennifer. It was such a "breath of fresh air" to read your post. It was a pleasure to see someone appreciate the little things that are so beautiful.
How beautiful! Those vivid red leaves are my favorite - just look like a tree is aflame.
They are not just red leaves they are vibrant and red is my favorite color.
Simply gorgeous with the red Jennifer. You take incredible pictures. I think we can all do without the raking part though SMILE.
Jennifer ~ The seasonal changing of the leaves in New York was always our favorite time of the year! Apple picking, pumpkin picking and playing in the piles of leaves we would rake up. The colors were vibrant red and orange and gorgeous to view from high on the mountains while hiking during the fall.
Hi Jennifer,
Absolutely beautiful! This one reminds me of some my Mother saved and collected from the Ozarks while on vacation. I still have them as one of her favorite keepsakes.
Beautiful, I love red red leaves, didn't know Hudson Valley started foliage season already.
Sorry I am just checking in, hectic week.
Cathy I do take the time to really look at my surroundings.
Ralph so glad you liked it.
Linda the little things in life brings much pleasure.
Nancy Before I lived here I thought those vibrant colors on the trees were painted, so glad I was wrong.
Teral I love red too.
Gary thank you. The raking part is not much fun:)
Frank and Karen I so love the change in season here, and fall is my favorite.
Lynda Wow those leave much have been really special. There are small things that we hang on to and sometime pass on to the next generation.
Eileen it is in full swing. The leaves are coming down fast because of the very wet weather over the past months.
Jennifer: Your fall colors cannot be beat! Have a great intro into the holidays!
Good Evening Jennifer:
A grat post! Simple, yet a great indication of the time of the season it is...Almost Winter
Now, I'm jealous!
We don't have the kind of falls you have. The vividness of that red is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
