Speechless Sunday-Kayaking Dog

Kayaking dog

I spent the last few days in lovely Gloucester MA . This was my first opportunity this year to get to the ocean.  I even had a fleeting thought of getting on one of those whale watching boats but when I was told it would be a four hour trip I changed my mind.

There were so many wonderful moments but one that really brought the bigest smile to my face was the Kayaking dog.  He seems so at home in the kayak and I was pleased to see he even wore his life jacket.

So I stood and watched this Kayaking dog until he and his human companion paddled away.

The weather was perfect, lots of sun and comfortable temperatures so wherever he went I am sure it was a good trip.

My dog would LOVE that but would most likely insist upon her own kayak!   Glad you had a wonderful getaway.

Jennifer, Glad you got to spend some time away ... we all need that!  I too am glad to see the dog is wearing a life jacket.

Susan seeing a dog in his own Kayak would have had me cracking up.

Kathleen  it was a lovely trip and I have to write about the Inn I stayed at.  Wearing a life jacket is so vital.

Jennifer that is so cool to watch.  My golden spends majority of his summer in our pool and Duke is amazing to watch, suprisingly enough the beast dives for his ball.  :)

Cheers - have a great sunday evening!

Jennifer, that is is the first time that I have seen a Kayaking dog.  Bet it felt good to get away for a little while.

Jennifer  Cute photo - I could not abide a 4 hour trip since there is no guarantee you'ii see a whale

Jennifer,

When we were in Oahu, Ron went on a paddleboat lesson.  We saw a dog happily sitting on a paddleboat as his lady owner was paddling.  What was funny is the dog was content and wearing a life vest, given that he was an Australian sheep dog, I wondered if he could swim.  It was precious. A

Alexandra - I have two Austrailiaan Shepherds ... One is a rescue and cannot swim but the other is the one I mentioned above - she loves anything to do with water!

Jennifer - I wonder if he uses his dog paddle to help his human companion with the paddling or is he just along for the ride. Have a great day.
