Recently I went to a Steely Dan concert at Tangewood. Okay, I knew the name of the band and the connection to nearby Bard College but not much more.
I don't get invited too often to a concert - not since I slept through Aretha Franklin's concert and awoke to say how disappointed I was that she did not sing Respect (She actually did). How do you ever overcome something like that?
My husband wrote this review of the Steely Dan concert.

Jennifer....He is one of my favorites....I'm sure you had a great time!
Hope you had a great day!---Rob
Go Vols!
You fell asleep at the diva of all diva's concert??? Jennifer!!
Rob I think everyone had a good time. Have you been to one of their concert?
Kerrie I am still so embarrassed. I was dealing with Lyme disease at the time. As long as I was moving I was okay, however as soon as i sat I would be out like a light.
A great concert I am sure. I can't believe you feel asleep during Aretha Franklin.. well, yes I actually can... you are a hard working professional and you need a little well deserved R & R.
Jennifer you must be one sound sleeper if you can sleep through an Aretha Franklin concert :)
I love Steely Dan and am envious of you. As for Aretha - at least you didn't snore. Or did you?
Hi Jennifer,
Funny you should mention them. We actually have a group that performs locally called Steelin Dan! They are quite popular here in El Dorado Hills.
Don't feel bad about the Aretha Franklin concert - I fell asleep in a Hall and Oats concert! I'll blame it on the wine before hand!
Hi Jennifer, I liked your husband's review of the concert and love Steely Dan- "Daddy Don't live in the New York City No More" was one of my favorites. Glad you got to go, did you like the concert?
I cannot remember the last time I even heard a Steely Dan song. But, I love them anyway....nearly every one. You are so fortunate.
I used to fall asleep at the concerts at Orchestra Hall when the Minnesota Orchestra was playing so don't feel bad.
