Millerton is a little gem in the town of Northeast in Dutchess County. The location could not be any better; it is close to both Massachusetts and Connecticut. It is so close to Connecticut that the nearest hospital is Sharon, Connecticut. This is really a small town with a population of about 1000.

Thank you, I feel like I just took a tour of Millerton and it was a delight. I am visiting so many new places through AR. It's great.
Live in Millerton and commute to NYC. Now that sounds tempting!
Thesa - You need to come visit the area you would be amazed.
Missy - That was the idea. So when you visit Millerton you will be right at home.
Laurie - This area is a bargain when compared to where you are.
Cynthia - I feel the same way, I have taken a tour of small towns across the US without leaving my home.
Derrick - People in a small town really know each other, this usually means more of a feeling of a community.
Rosario - The train is there so it is possible. What I have noticed in some of these communities is that people who want the country living but still hold on to their NYC job will go to a town like this. I think it works best for someone who will work from home part of the week.
