Wordless Wedesday-License Plates

License Plates

When I am taking a road trip one of the things I like to do to pass the time is study license plates; and now and then I would spot a funny one which would become the topic of conversation.

So what can you tell from these license plates in the photo?

Someone needs more wall space? What can you tell? Two from Oregon, none form Hawaii?

Jen....I love it!  I really used to love seeing license plate collections as a kid.  Brings back memories.

The only state that is missing is VERMONT!  Glenn is correct about an extra plate from Oregon propped up.  They are in alphabetical order.

Larry I don't know much about cars but somehow I like car related stuff.   I also have a photo collection of old cars.

So glad it triggered some fond memories.

Bruce thanks for the explanation.  I am almost sure I took the photo in Vermont so that is probably why Vermont is not in the collection.

Hi Jennifer,

Neat shot, but I had to cheat I read your answers. Before that I saw the 2 for OR and they appeared (yet not sure) to be in an alpha sort.

I see some serious mileage, if those plates could talk they'd tell some great stories

They all look really old - I'll bet there's a story with each and every car they came from.

Jennifer, I immediately got that they were in alpha order, but I missed the two from Ohio!

Jennifer when I use to travel South there was a little restaurant called Grany's in Frackville, PA that we would stop at for breakfast or lunch and the bathroom was full of license plates on the walls.  It kind of took away the need for a newspaper when you had to go .............. LOL

I always think it's fun to see how the states change their plates - some have had little or no changes and some change their's often.

Jennifer, what I see is that you've either done alot of traveling or that you're just a great collector.
