Readers of my blog know how much I love the Hudson River and the bridges over the river. This bridge is the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge which connects Dutchess and Ulster Counties.
Early this afternoon I heard about a plane crash which occurred to the left of this bridge. When you hear the news you are always sad, but it is worst when you actually know the person in the crash, today was such a day.

Glen it was a plane crash.
Julie I went over the bridge late this evening and recovery was in progress.
John I just added plane crash to the title. The plane came down in the icy water just a short distance from the airport.

So sorry for your sadness. We live in a small community and it is unlikely that we do not know somebody when tragedy happens here.
