Yesterday I attended two open houses which turned out to be a real delight. Both houses were built in the 1800's. What made these two properties so interesting to me was not just the houses but what you saw on the outside.
- House number 1 was built in 1889 and was completely renovated. A beautiful garden was added and various sitting area was placed throughout the garden. This is the perfect place to get-away to after a very hectic work week.
This is what I saw:
This property is located in Southern Columbia County.
- The second house was an estate along the Hudson River on 65 acres in Tivoli, NY. A European Romantic style with over 4000 square feet as well as a carriage house and 2 cottages.
For me, it was all about the views. I would be comfortable sitting for hours watching the river and the mountain.
It is such a pleasure to get the opportunity to view unique properties.

Carole - I think you would have fun and I have a 1700 house you could rent, sleeps 8. I am hoping for terrific foliage this fall.
George The view was assume, I really could have spent the day .
Diana - Sorry you weren't able to fit the open houses in your schedule.
Missy- It is beautiful property I guess my husband can't give it to me as a present since it cost over 6 million dolllars.
Paula - Some of the windows had window benches were you could sit and take in the scenery.
Marchel - I am a view person also. I have a listing right now that is from 1773 and is in perfect condition. Those older homes have such character which the newer homes lack.
Jennifer,
as always great photos, hey now tell me, how did you do it? I believe that you did it good, did many prospects went over there ? :P
