Wordless Wednesday-Ice Anyone?
When I am between appointments I like to enjoy a few moments alone. Today I drove down to the docks in Rhinecliff and just watched the ice floating by. Amazingly, I found it soothing. You guessed it; this ice was on the Hudson river.

Nice photo, I love to see ice floating in the river~don't know why. Wouldn't want to be on a boat though.
It seems in no hurry because it knows its destination and can take its time! Very nice Jennifer and a Happy New Year to you, 2011 does look promising!
Novona I agree with you, there is something so soothing about watching the ice float. I also like to see the barges going by.
Jennifer, I think it is great that you take a few minutes to enjoy life. Too often we get caught up and just run, run, run and forget the pleasures of life like just watching the ice. Great post. Thank you and have a great day.
Wanda and thats why it is so soothing, no rush. It is my hope business will be great for everyone this year.
Brrrr! Tis the season for the ice flows isn't it Jennifer. Last week here in Michigan it was 50 degrees Saturday afternoon and 16 degrees Sunday morning. We are now back in our normal winter mode but it was nice to have a brief warm up.
Gary you really have to take time out to smell the roses. I treasure these few minutes alone.
Randy why is it that the winter seem to be the longest season? I do hope warmer days are just around the corner.
Jennifer, I'm shivering just looking at that photo! Brrrrrrrr
Hi Jennifer... with a view like that I was going to ask you if you could see Russia from your house! :-)
Jennifer, this is a good motivator to "Get Cracking" lol. I hope you have a great year both professionally and personally.
Great video Jennifer; I think we get better exposure with video than still photos, that's why I do a video presentation when I get a new listing. Let's have more video.
Jennifer - Very cool video. I was just driving by the Hudson yesterday (a bit further south...in Peekskill) looking at the smae water/ice that went by you.
Jennifer, You are a good photographer. I love your videos and pictures.
Jennifer the lake does have a very cool look to it. Makes me cold just watching:)
Jennifer the Hudson looks so cold and dangerous. Think spring and it will be here before you know it.
Jennifer, This reminds me of The Deadliest Catch … don’t ask me why … that is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the photo. Nice photos. I hope you enjoyed your alone time at the dock.
Jennifer the Connecticut River looks a lot like that these days as well. I get cold just looking at the picture :)
Jenniefer, you are such a great photographer. I enjoy looking at them all and these, in particular, sent a chill down my spine. ;-)
Spoke to my sister today - she is in Miami. Temps in the 70s. . . Sigh.
Jennifer,
Just like a gigantic slushee. That's a lot of crushed ice. :)
Steve
Good Afternoon Jennifer
Thanks for the post and video. Have a great day
When I was living in NY I worked at a bank, and from my office window on the 16th floor I could see the Hudson River and sometimes in the winter it looked just like your picture, burr!
I can relate to that Jennifer...Love the picture...
Jennifer, A Beautfiul photo. The water always attracts me and soothes my soul. Thank you for sharing.

You're making me feel really cold Jennifer. Best wishes for an early melt.
Aloha!
Simple elegance...I've said this several times, but you have an amazing eye for finding art in our everyday settings
