Speechless Sunday-I am Queen Of This Field And Don't You Forget it

Sculpture Susanna

With nose in the air I can see why she would think she is queen of this field; and we should not forget it.  So where is this anyway? This is at the Field Sculpture Park in Ghent NY.

This scuplture is called Victoria  and is the work of Phillip Grausman.

The park is made up several fields, this particular field has three heads, Victoria is the tallest, and with that profile looks like the queen.

Visiting this park is well worth a trip, the sculptures on display are each rather unique.

Stay tune for more photos over the next few weeks.

Update*** this sculpture is Victoria not Susanna

I often wonder how the artist comes up with the idea for their sculptures. Looks like a great place to visit.

Jennifer now that is different, when you look at the statue quickly it almost looks like a giant mushroom :)

Ray I think you would have liked this park, so much to see, comfortable shoe a must.

Julie I do, I thought they deserved their own post.  She does look like someone you would not want to cross.

Corinne It sure is too big for your yard but perfect in the large open field. Interesting yes.
