Speechless Sunday-Dusk at Poet's Walk in Red Hook NY

Speechless Sunday-Dusk at Poet's Walk in Red Hook NY

Yesterday the weather was great, so after dining we decided to go for a walk at nearby Poet's Walk.  On the trails we saw may who had similar ideas.

Poet's Walk is one of the many parks along the Hudson River operated by Scenic Hudson.  This is a park where your appreciation for the natural environment can grow.  A place where you will never grow tired of taking photographs.

We enjoyed the walk and loved seeing the Kingston Rhinecliff Bridge, the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains at dusk.

It would have been great to just forget about time however the park closes promptly at 8:30 and your car would be locked in.  You should see everyone hurrying back along the trail hoping to make it before 8:30.  We did, and then decided to go to the well known ice cream spot, Holy Cow where the line was around the block.

Yes we love to watch dusk at Poet's Walk.

Sounds like everyone had the same idea for that evening. Your photos are just beautiful and Poets Walk looks like the perfect place to capture memories and photos like these. Nothing like some ice cream to end the evening!

Laura I know this is a walk you would really enjoy.  You could make a day of it, visit Wilderstein, Montgomery Place and do the Poet's walk; and depending on the time of year catch one of the performance at the Fisher Center at Bard,

Sorry Larry this was actually a Saturday evening shot.

Jennifer,

This sounds like a very lovely part of your area - and one of which you are rightly proud. :)

Pat I had a camera, but was out of disc space, time for a new card,
