Wordless Wednesday - Reflections

There are times when you decide to take a photograph and you end up getting more than you expected.  Take this photo as an example, I took the shot but what thrilled me most about it was the reflections in the water, something I had not noticed.

Jennifer, really a nice photo...what a great surprise.  The same thing happened to me today as I was trying to shoot a butterfly and pressed the shutter...the butterfly flew off, so I missed it, but what I did get a shot of was the house I was previewing (for clients) framed by the flowers the butterfly was on...actually turned out to be a good shot of the house.

Those clouds are beautiful on the water, Jennifer.  The lake has very clear water as well.

Jennifer,

That's about the most placid lake as I've ever seen. Great shot.

Jennifer - You could almost turn that picture upside down and not notice the difference.  It really is a very placid lake.  I fully understand about taking pictures and not seeing things until you later review the shot.  I do that all the time.  On a recent trip to the California coast, I was so focused on getting the shot, that I wasn't seeing the shot.  It wasn't until I processed the photos that I began seeing what I had actually visited.  I almost wanted to go back:-)

Jennifer it is amazing how much the water can look like a mirror at times.  Great shot.
