This was the day my imagination got the better of me. At first I was fascinated by these huge rolls of paper - I love the way they were stacked vertical and horizontally.
I wanted to capture the moment so I even took shots of my son standing in front of the stack. Then my mind took over. What if the upper layer came crashing down? I knew how important safety was to this facility. I tried to reason logically but I found my self backing away and making a quick exit.
Has your imagination every gotten the best of you?

Love the pic Jennifer - does make you wonder and think back to the days before news via internet! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
Hi Cyndee so good to see you. There is still a great need for print all over the world. I was just telling my husband that I still love the feel of a book.
Jennifer, I most certainly have let my imagination get the better of me. But what in the world were you dong there? Yikes...
Andrea I was touring a printery which is safe, it's just that imagination got in the way :)
Were you at a newspaper printing press??? They look gigantic......
Thanks for sharing,
Lori Cofer
Jennifer, yep if one of those babies came tumbling down it could certainly ruin your whole day :)
Hi Jennifer... what do they do with those huge rolls of paper? I would not want one falling on me!
WOW!
that looks really really heavy?
Bet they do not get earth-quakes
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
They are huge! Which one were you touring?
Hi Jennifer, Oh yes, my imagination tends to get the better of me on some days - on other days I call it intuition and follow my gut instinct for a fast exit :-) My Grandpa was a printer, I would walk down to the print shop with my Grandma sometimes to take him his lunch. I remember being fascinated with the whole process, although I don't think his little shop was nearly as big as the one you visited.
Reminds me of the shipping department of the paper mill I worked in..way back in 1975. Those rolls of paper inspired me to go in the Navy, get an education and...the rest is history!
LORI this was a magazine and bok printery.
George safety comes first at this facility. I know it yet the imagination took over:)
Steve the rolls of paper becomes magazines and books.
Charles don't feed my imagination :) no earthquake here.
Debra Yes those were the largest rolls of paper I have seen.
Mary you are right, the tour pf a printery is fascinating. It is especially great to see how technology now make the process so much easier.
Gary that was hard work back then.
We took a tour of the Dallas newspaper and the amount of rolls and height was mind bogling to say the least so I have some idea of how you were feeling.
Janet I am so glad someone had an idea of what I was feeling during that tour.
My imagination rarely runs wild like that, probably because my wild imagination gets used up waching science fiction and horror movies. LOL
