A post inspired by Al and Peggy Cunningham. This car was parked across from the restaurant in Rhinebeck New York where I was dining last night.
I later discovered a variety of cars parked on the street, not a surprise since the Good Guys Rod and Custom Car Carshow is at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds just a few blocks away. By the way the show is still running today so still an opportunity for you to catch the show.
Do you think you could name this car?
AND THE CAR ATTACHED TO THIS WHEEL IS........

My guess is Oldsmobile.
No but I love the white walls!
Jennifer.....I love the look of those wide white walled tires.....then the thinner white wall was the next phase and then there were none!!!
Roy try again :)
Hi Cindy I do too.
Barbara can you tell I was attracted to the wheel also?
Love the white walls too and my guess will be Mercedes.
Hi Martha please give it another try, not a Mercedes.
I love old cars...classics. Not sure about the car, maybe an old Plymouth!
My first thought was Plymoth, also. can't wait to find out the answer.
Hi Gary, it is not a Plymouth give it another try :)
Kat not a Plymouth
Mmmm. Can't tell just by the wheel.makopa
Hi Collin - I am hoping someone can. I will reveal the car later today.
oo Jennifer, I should show my father this post, He loves cars!! I have no idea why type of car this may be?
Jennifer, I am going to guess that it is a Mercury.
Jennifer - My guess is that it is a Chevy. Possibly 1955 through 1957. I lived those years, and those hug caps are familiar.
Ok - I'm changing my answer. I'm guessing 1956 Oldsmobile. I remembered those little planets on the hubcaps are an Olds insignia. Here's a picture:

Okay I will now reveal the car the wheel is attached to. I suspect these must be some type of a custom hubcap, I could not find any information on it. I can see Myrl's point.
Thanks to everyone for participating and if you can find a hubcap and wheel like the one in the photo link here.
Roy and Myrl you were so right. Here is a link of similar hubcaps. I learned something new today.

Thank you.
Gorgeous Car! Haven't a clue what it is but thsoe wheels are gorgeous! My dad loves older cars and always says he is going to buy one just so he can go out and buy ice cream in it and call it his "ice cream car." Everytime I see one I think of him :)
That is a beautiful car! I can't believe how well it has been taken care of. I am a little too late to the post as you have revealed what it is - cool post!
I am guessing a 1942 Ford. Just guessing, but it is a cool car!
Jennifer that is a beautiful car. I would love to drive something like that. Who knows maybe someday :)
Hello Jennifer ~
