Poughkeepsie NY has made stride in the development of the Hudson River waterfront. Shadows On The Hudson is one of the newer restaurant to grace the Poughkeepsie NY waterfront, and the views from this restaurant is spectacular.
There are five dining areas to choose from; and I personally would want to be on the patio with the best view of the river. This is also a popular spot for professionals to socialize. Recently I attended a social event there for Realtors and their affiliates.
Okay so I spent more time looking at the landscape, I just could not help myself.

Jennifer we also have a restaurant like that on the Connecticut River here in Middletown, and just like your restaurant the views are fantastic.

Jennifer, I LOVE to eat along the water!! It is a bit hard her there are a few restaurants in The Woodlands and some at Lake Conroe but not many and nothing like the Hudson. Shadow looks wonderful!!
George it is always nice having a meal where there is a great view. What is the name of your restaurant?
Joan maybe one of these days you will come visit some of the Mid-Hudson historic sites and we could eat at Shadows.

What a cool name for a restaurant! The pictures are fabulous and, like you, I would definitely want to sit where I have a view of the river - GORGEOUS!
The beautiful view certainly would make it a great place to linger....maybe even have dessert and coffee just to stay a little longer :-)

Jennifer it is called Harbor Park, and it is right off of RT9. Something about eating near the water that seems to give the food a different tastes.
