Wordless Wednesday-Twin Lakes in Elizaville NY 12523

                                          Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes

Nothing says summer like water.  Wednesday is a typical open house day in my market, however I did not think I would get the opportunity to see any houses today.

There was a slight adjustment in my schedule and since I was coming from the north I was able to catch a few open houses around Twin Lakes in Elizaville NY which is in southern Columbia County. One of the house for sale was right down near the water a perfect spot to spend summer days.

Most of the homes are small cottages.  Here are homes for sale identified as having water access in zipcode 12523

Great shot of the lake, Jennifer!  Also a great idea for a post and identifying those homes with lake access!  I need to get to more Open Houses - thanks for the reminder!

Hi Jennifer.  This is the start of the season when those lakes take on a whole new meaning.  Aloha!

That lake looks perfect for swimming and skiing! Are there any boating restrictions?

Gita I couldn't agree more.  There is so much beauty around we just need to take the time to look.

Leesa you are welcome.  This time of year consumers look for rentals or homes by the lake and why not, a water view can be so calming.

Kat in Lake Arrowhead you get to see this type of scene all the time.  This is a small lake in comparison.

Gary This is not a huge lake, you will need your row boat.  actually row boats contribute to the peaceful nature of Twin Lakes.

Mary that is the feeling I get when I stop by: peaceful and relaxing.

Diane there is actually a small cottage right on the banks with direct access for your row boat.

Lori I hope it warm up soon.  Actually the weather is more like late July.  My grass is brown already.

George some of the homes around the lake are second homes so I can imagine, someone from NYC eager to get to the weekend place after a long week.

Steve the two lakes are actually separated by Route 19 and homes.  I was on the eastside.

Richard you are so right.  Here we have such a short season of warm weather; so there is a great appreciation for the outdoors this time of year.

Lisa It is a small lake so row boats and kayaks  is probably what you will see.

Lazy summer days by the lake.  Ahh, to be a kid again.  I miss the 'shade' that you find at lakes like this.  Most of our Southern California lakes just don't have the trees right up to the water.  Something that I miss.

Jennifer is that just a relaxing view! So peaceful. Where's the picnic basket?
