Summer Fun on the Hudson River-Rhinecliff NY
Today I took a drive down to the Hudson River in Rhinecliff NY and I could not believe the number of sailboats on the water. Memorial Day weekend is certainly the kickoff to that summer season of fun.
There is much to do in the Hudson Valley and because of the majestic Hudson River water sport is big here. In the photograph the sailboat you are seeing is the FIASCO it came in close so I was able to get a good shot. Today was a great day for sailing the temperature was in the seventies with a slight breeze.

Jennifer, We love to sail! I wonder why they didn't have their jib up; maybe it was too windy. We have had to call off so many Thursday night races this year because of too much wind.
Love sailboats. Great photo. It's wonderful to be so near a large river.

George that is so true, I have been weeding and planting and trying to figure out how to keep the groundhogs at bay :)
Jennifer, I use to go sailing with friends a lot while living in Northern VA...now I go boating on my brother's motor boat....not as peaceful, but still nice to be out on the water.

Rebecca just seeing the water can make one feel peaceful. Yes the motor boat is sure different from a sail both but both activities can be enjoyable.
Hannah it is such a wonderful body of water and is important to the economy of the area.

Karen it is never too late. There is a sailing company in Tivoli NY if you both still have the desire. Scarsdale is a lovely and pricey town, I am sure you enjoyed living there.
Tammie the Hudson River is a great place to go sailing. Here we are already experiencing late summer weather.
