Map showing Fairways and Red Hook Golf Club
The Fairways is located between the villages of Red Hook and Rhinebeck with quick access to the Taconic Parkway and this makes it an ideal community; therefore when there are homes up for sale they do go quickly.
In this subdivision you will find both single family homes as well as townhouses. The single family homes are colonials with 3-4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and with square footage ranging from around 2000-3300 .
The townhouses are also spacious ranging from about 1820-2645 finished square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The Fairways is truly a golfers paradise. Since the Red Hook 18 hole Golf Course wraps around the houses, when you step outside your front door you are literally on the golf course. The Red Hook Golf Club a semi private golf club was founded in 1931 first as a 9 hole course but later expanded to 18 holes. Both clubhouse and golf club are also just a short walk away. The community also enjoys a lovely view of the Catskill Mountains and beautiful sunsets.
Nearby you will find many fine restaurants in both Red Hook and Rhinebeck and this is not a coincidence since the Culinary Institute of America is just a half an hour away. At the Club House you will also find the Clubhouse Bar and Grill.
For cultural activities both Red Hook and Rhinebeck presents many opportunities. You can see an independent film at Upstate Film in Rhinebeck or catch a performance by the American Symphony Orchestra at the Fisher Center at Bard College.

Jennifer.. I think this looks like the pefect spot for a golfer. It looks like a very nice community.
jennifer: this is what a good local post is about..this community of Red Hook is very inviting....the great foods does not hurt either. I don't think that Realtors have enough time to play golf though!
Jennifer, as a little kid, we lived in a small house on a golf course. One benefit is that the golfers sometimes hit their balls into your back yard, and my brother and I did a big business in used golfball sales! These houses are a lot prettier than ours was.
Jennifer, I like you localism posts. You have good information about the community.
Joan The people who live there really love their community.
LLyod Some Realtors do, and make great business contacts; you know the saying that lots of decision are not made not in the offices but on the golf course.
Pat that must have been fun. Did you find anything else besides the balls?
David - It is a nice community and the homes for sale goes quickly.
Terri there are several courses in Dutchess County, The public course (Dinsmore) in nearby Staatsburgh is very scenic I love going by it.
Gita I feel the same about yours. Thank you.
Looks like some very nice (and large) homes. One day I am coming to NY (my wife thinks I will never go!) and will make it a point to see your area as it always looks so nice! We will call first!
Gary when you do please call, I would be delighted to help you put together a tour of places to, based on your interest.
You have some beautiful photos of the land and homes. I remember Laura I had a Feng Shui consultation for a family that lived on a golf course..it was very peaceful.
Gorgeous golf homes in The Fairways community! I am really digging looking in depth in communities outside of my area! So many great communities all over America!
This is a place I have always wished I had checked out before making my own final decision on housing.
I am sure the Fairways must be a pretty popular spot especially for those that like to play a round or two!
