Today I read many wonderful postings about Raincamp NYC, and because I did not have the time to post earlier I feel like I am late to the party with not much to add.
Attending Raincamp was well worth the time and effort and was a total success; you see I did not get bored and that does not happen often at similar events. You could say the staff at Activerain along with their sponsors really know how to put an event together.
One of the observation I made was that the majority of attendees were not Activerain members or even bloggers, how exciting to see more agents taking steps to learn about tools that will make their 2010 a more productive year. After the various presentation I am sure many suddenly realized that blogging was not such a scary thing but could actually be fun.
There was so much information presented in such a short time. Here are a few of the sites that were shared with us.
GIMP.com a site that is like photoshop
TokBox.com Used to send video messages
ReTaggr.com A site to keep track of your social media connections.
Mailchimp.co To see who has opened the email sent.
Then it was fun to finally meet on-line friends off-line, you should have seen all the hugs and beeming smiles, many of the photos I have seen on the various post certainly captured this.
Thanks to everyone involved with putting this event together.

Jennifer, I am soooooooo jealous, can't you see how green I am? I am so going to try and get to DC.
Hi Jennifer, I always say better late than never! I am going to check out mailchimp.com--thanks for sharing :o)
Soun ds like you have been exposed to the next layer of tech in the social media world. Keep learning so you can share more of oyur insights.
Jennifer: sounds like you had a great time. I like the tips. Thanks for sharing the new hot sites.
Jennifer - sound s like a great learning time coupled with meeting some terrific folks from AR and elsewhere. Wish I could have been there, but I am certainly enjoying what I am learning from those who did attend.
Jeff
Andrew it was fun. Make sure to attend when it comes to a town near you.
Andrea it is a trip you won't regret. Yes I can see how green you are.....lol
Esther it was awesome I hope you get to attend at some point.
Jennifer, Thanks for sharing those sites. I'll have to check them out.
I feel left out here in Canada. Maybe the big boys will find their way here someday.
Guy I was happy I was able to fit it into my schedule.
LLoyd it was a lovely day, I was disappointed I was unable to stay for the after party.
Lynda I was surprised too, but when I spoke to Brad it seems this is the case. I think it is not promoted just as an AR event. The good thing about that is we should see I hope, a spike in membership.
Jeff it would have been a treat to meet you. Bob Stewart and the AR staff really knows how to put on, an engaging event.
Jennifer
Seems that it is good and also you can know more people "rainers" keep the good work :)
Jennifer, what a fun day that was! I wish I'd spent more time with you on Tuesday - see? You should never sit in the back of the room!
Jennifer - I can hear myself on your first video and my flash of me taking the picture of Brad too...lol But I am not in the picture. Hannah hugging Pat Kennedy.. I was standing next to her... what a great day huh? It was terrfic meeting you finally....
Jennifer, it was great to finally meet you and what a terrific day. A great learning experience and a great time "meeting my online friends offline".
I am sorry I did not attend. Thanks for sharing the information.
I am sad I missed you here! Send me the link(s) of us in a picture if you have it. That close and I didn't even say "hi" argh!
