The Catskill Mountain is a beautiful mountain range that you will find in the Mid-Hudson Valley Region of NY. Over the years I have taken shots during different seasons and from various towns along the Hudson River. This particular shot was taken on Route 32 in Greene County New York.
This area is also near a well known New york ski resort, Windham.

Beautiful, Jennifer. I always loved driving through the Catskills when I lived in New England and we went visiting relatives. But have to say I am glad I don't deal with snow anymore.
Jeff
Jeff it is really lovely to look at. I really need to create a Flickr set of the photos I have.
Jennifer, very beautiful area! Great photo!
Hi Jennifer... Driving through Catskills is one of the most scenic drives I can remember. Gorgeous!
Jennifer,
It's only January and I'm already sick and tired of the snow.
rich
Jennifer, the Hudson River is so beautiful and rich with history. And the Catskills, well, they speak for themselves! Great photo!
I like the light snow that is just a dusting
best in 2010
your friend in Charlottesville!
Thos views are magnificent Jennifer. I would imagine a home in that location would be worth a few $$$!
Jennifer, Beautiful photo and area of the country. I enjoy seeing all this snow in photos but prefer not to actually see any on the ground here!
Tony and Darcy in person the views are just spectacular.
Steve no argument here.
Rich looks like it is going to be a rough winter, think spring....lol
Andrea That's what I like about the area.
Charles based on where you are, I can understand why you would only want to see a dusting.
I hope you too will have a great year.
Bill once again location location. In some area they have the views but that is not enough. In other area yes the price of the homes goes up considerable.
Yvette and Dennis If you can enjoy the views without having to deal with the actual white stuff, why not.
Jennifer You live in one of the most beautiful areas in New York, not to mention the entire east coast
It looks as cold as it is here...Is it? LOL Maybe more so - it was 4 degrees below last night, and will be worse tonight :(
Debi
That's a gorgeous shot, Jennifer! It sure does look cold! Anymore snow coming your way this week?
Looks like your snowfall level is about like ours!
Jennifer - Ah, the beauty of the Hudson Valley. Makes us love our jobs that much more when we get to drive the roads all day and take in the scenery.
Hi Jennifer, As much as I enjoy seeing all the winter scenes back east, it was about 80 and sunny here today. It is hard to realize as beautiful as the scenery is, how cold it must also be. So my job at looking at the great pictures is akin to looking at pictures down inside a volcano. Fun to look at but I am not going there either, lol. Thank you for sharing and I am sure that when Spring and Summer rolls around ( which I would guess can't come to soon for most of you) , I will be relating with the sheer beauty of the Catskill mountains with so much more ease. :-) Great post Jennifer.
Hi Jennifer...I was in your neighborhood, more or less, recently. I crossed the Tappen Zee bridge going and coming from Connecticut to visit my mom. I saw the snow still up there on the ground. Ours, in Virginia, had washed away with the rain.
Your area is beautiful with or without snow.
Kate
Jennifer, the Catskills are beautiful even when the are covered with snow. Nice shot :)
Jennifer,
It is a beautiful area, but it looks very cold in this picture. Let's come back in the spring. :)
Steve
I am waiting for everyone's spring shots. The whole world is snowed in right now, except for one place :) Great photo. I have never been to the Catskills. I just know of it of course from the 60s and all the entertainers who made it there.
Pretty picture. I'm just glad I live in Texas. It's been cold, but no snow here.
Jennifer,
I haven't been there before but for the photo taken and the information provided by you and some fellow rainers seems that it is an awesome place to be.
Looks cold as well as potentially treacherous driving if it ices up. Of course 27 degrees in Florida this morning is pretty treacherous!
