When you visit New York City I am sure you will be fascinated by the skyline.
Before taking your first trip to New York City you might consider reading Mitchell Hall's Blog, he has written extensively about the various neighborhoods, as well as the architecture.
Yes for those of you planning to attend RainCamp, and this also happens to be your first visit to NYC make Mitchell's Blog your guide.

You must have a great camera, its tough to get the entire building in a photo like that. Haven't been to NYC in years, would love to visit again - when it's warmer!
Great shot ... a little scary. I wonder what it is like to work in such a place. I'm rarely above the 2nd floor ;)
Hey Jennifer - me and my clan just enjoyed the last holiday (Thanksgiving) up there in your great City.
Even got great tickets to the parade!
Jennifer -- what a wonderful photo. Hope all is well and that you have a very merry christmas and a joyful new year.
Cool shot Jennifer. One always takes something new from NYC. Merry Christmas!
Looks great to me. Can you get one of those Bank Bonus's while you are there. Merry Christmas.
Michael I am please with my little camera I am truly amaze at the results.
Steve some people love being high up, they get a great view of the city. I am with you, I love being closer to the ground.
Lloyd I agree you there is always something new to attract your attention. I can say a visit to NYC is never boring.
Eric Thank you.
Nice photo..just remembered how scared I am of heights! Bet that elevator trip takes a few minutes!
Jennifer I would rather be at ground level taking the photo than at the top watching you take it :)
Jennifer, this is an awesome shot. LOVE New York! Though I've only been there one time, it was enough to keep me wanting to return. It is an amazing city. ;-)
Jennifer,
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and the coming year is an extra good one for you,
Jo
Jennifer I hope you have a great time at the Real Estate event of the year:)
Jennifer that is a loooooooong waaaaaaaaaaaay up there. How many stories high is the Mitchell Hall Building?
Hi Jennifer, This is someplace I've never been, but would love to visit! Wonderful photo, Jennifer.
Jennifer, what a cool shot! I love looking up at the buildings from that point of view!
Hi Jennifer - I just learned that this is one of the best ways to photograph tall buildings -- stand right at the bottom and look up -- and you proved it with this shot.
Jennifer,
Nice attempt to get the whole building in there. Isn't it amazing that someone actually designed this and then people built it? :)
Steve
Gary I can empathize, I have the same issues,
Karen that is what I did, feet firmly on the ground, head tilted way back.
Terri You can't help falling in love with the place.
Jo Thank you.
Bill I plan to and hope to share information and photos.
George Too many stories. Just think of the view from the top.
Mary you would have a ball. Put it on you list of things to do.
Marney I do too.
John that is exactly what I did, and I was please with the result.
Steve Rather amazing and I am sure it was a difficult task.
Jennifer,
Thank you for the mention and link love. Sorry I'm late to your blog. I've been having the busiest December ever. I hope it is a good sign for 2010. Great shot. Is that Rockefeller Center?
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and I'm looking forward to finally meeting you at rain camp.
George, LOL
Eric, 50% of the bank bonuses are used to buy real estate.
Jennifer, I can never get my skyscrapers so good in photos. I'd lay on the ground but I'd be trampled in a New York minute! Happy Holidays!
I haven't been to NYC (aside from an annoying drive-thru) since I was a SMALL child. I would love to make it to Inman/Rain Camp/rebarcamp...
Jennifer,
What a great thing to do - point Rain Camp Attendees to Michael's blog.
I have never been to NYC, I've been in northern New York state but not the city.
Nice photo, did you take it?
Wow, Jennifer - GREAT perspective of the skyscraper! I would never be able to make it but I'll have to check out the details for the RainCamp - they sound so awesome!
We had a skyscraper in my little hometown of Kingsville, Texas (pop. 25,000). It was four stories tall. So impressive.
Then I got to go to Corpus Christi for Regional and State Choir and Orchestra and see real skyscrapers. Thirty stories tall.
Then I made it to Houston, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. Ah, there's nothing like a good, tall, skyscraper reaching up to the sky.
WOWWWWW Jennifer!!!! Now THIS is what you call a sky scraper!! Excellent shot! You can win an award with this one!
Jennifer, that's quite a short, it almost makes you dizzy to look up that far.
