Wordless Wednesday - The moon on a dark night

Moon on a dark night

The moon as seen through tree branches

Wordless Wednesday is a reminder to me to post a photo but I find it impossible to be completeley wordless so forgive me.

I have always found the sky moon amd stars fascinating, I remember as a  child I would spend hours  star gazing and daydreaming and I even loved the nights when it was pitch black except for the moon.

So it was not a surprie that I would want to capture this scene.

Is it because I'm relatively new on AR or because I'm foreign - what is Wordless Wednesday?

Posted by Manuela Baginski (South Beaches Real Estate Professionals) over 2 years ago

Wordless Wednesday group was created for the purpose of  posting a photo to each Wednesday.

Welcome to AR and you are doing the right thing by asking questions.  Now I will pop over to your blog.

Jennifer--I am hardly every wordless either...it is hard to get a photo of the moon. Nice shot!

Jennifer, I am rarely wordless too! Neat shots -- I love the moon as well -- and photos of it make me happy! :-)

Hi Jennifer - I once lived in home where I could stand on the deck and see the milky way. Too many lights where I am now, in town...:(

Teri - It is not easy to get the moon, so I was happy this came out.

Marney I feel the same way about the moon.

Debi I can still remember lying on the rocky hill behind my grandma's kitchen and grazing at the sky covered with stars, it was almost as if I could reach out and touch them.  Where I presently live I do get to see the stars.

Hi Jennifer-nice shots of the moon.  I was wondering if that curved line through it was a small twig and you could see the limb nearby in your second shot.

Jennifer, moon shots are not easy to take, but you did a nice job with these.

Mary It was a dark night.  Glad the shot came out.

Susan  I wondered about that too, in any case I love the effect.

George It is my persistence and I will keep at it.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Jennifer...Cool shot of the moon! I am away on vacation right now and the sky has been brilliant at night:)

Very nice...when it first appeared I was in a trance....looking at a moon in a sea of darkness does that to me!

I had to laugh at Mary's comment Jennifer. I was seeing all kinds of stars. Then I looked again and realized it was dust all over my screen that looked like stars.  And here I was all excited because you captured those stars so nicely lol.

You HAVE to say SOMETHING!  Look at the interpretations... who can keep quiet?

I am with you Jennifer.  I love the starry nights and the moon.  I bundle up in the winter on windy nights and go outside, it is my favorite.

Jennifer,

You're right about how tricky it is to get a good shot of the moon, and this does look like a dark night otherwise. :)

I don't like Wordless Wednesday or Speechless Sunday unless there are words, like where the picture was taken, when, who took it, what's it a picture of, etc.

Someone said that Wordless Wednesday and Speechless Sunday simply mean that there is a photograph in the post.
