Cinnamon Indian Cuisine is a restaurant in Rhinebeck specializing in Indian Cuisine. This restaurant opened just a few
weeks ago and I recently visited for the second time.

On my second visit I had the opportunity to speak with Shiwanthi Widyarathra one of the owners, and discovered that she relocated from Fairfield Connecticut where she was a partner in another restaurant.
Shiwanthi said she is looking forward to serving fresh Southern Indian Cuisine to consumers in this region.
Since I am a lover of Indian food I can truly say I welcomed her to the area. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a comfortable ambiance and the food is simply delicious.
The Chef is Chaminda Widyarathna who has been preparing this cuisine professionally for over 10 years. There is a wide variety on the menu and according to Shiwanthi there is a new menu each month. The reason for this is to keep regular patrons happy by providing them with new dishes. The cuisine also caters to both meat lovers as well as vegetarians.
Cinnamon Indian Cuisine is open seven days a week with lunch buffet from 11:30-2:30 and diners from 5-10PM with a special buffet on Sundays. Already, the restaurant is doing a brisk take out business and delivery is made within a 10 mile radius.
My family and I had the opportunity to try several dishes (the prawns in a spicy tamarind sauce were especially wonderful) and I will provide you with a visual presentation. The desserts are also home made and oh-so-good.
