Red Hook NY Winter Market is back!
Over the the last two years the Red Hook Community has operated a very successful Winter Market. It was so successful that
several surrounding towns will now be holding their own events. I personally knew what a hit this event was because of the inquiries I received from other communities wanting to know how they could get a Winter Market started.
If you are not familar with the Winter Market I guess I should tell you what it is.
This market was started mainly to support the local farms and I must say we are fortunate to be able to get locally grown vegetables, fruits and meats.
Are there other products sold besides fresh produce and meats? Yes there are; you could purchase wool, specialty bags, specialty cheeses, wine, jams, homemade desserts, pasta, and cookbooks. And that's not all. You could also enjoy lunch from GiGi's and live music to keep you entertained.

I spoke with Robert Mckeon who has been dedicated to advertising the events through the distribution of the beautiful postcards you will see throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley. According to Robert, the attendees he spoke to really love the market but had one request more dates. So if you take a look at the schedule for this year you will notice that the market will now be open not just once a month but twice per month except for November.
