Oh, no. I forgot the flour! Just another day in the life of a real estate agent
Last night, I planned to make brownies for my open house today. This did not happen as I instead
decided to take a short nap and did not wake up.
My schedule today was tight; a trip to the dentist first thing in the morning. Then, just enough time to get done all of the things I should have addressed last night and of course to make the brownies. However, the phone kept ringing and I felt obligated to answer.
I cracked a few eggs, added some sugar and creamed the mixture, melted chocolate and butter. Next, I need to add that chocolate to the egg mixture, but, the phone rang again and I just had to answer it. After a somewhat lengthy conversation I thought the mixture was ready for the oven. Thirty minutes later the brownies should have been ready but they were not. Actually, they look a bit strange. What could have gone wrong? Oh, no, I forgot the flour! Too late now. I had better get something at the store and deal with this mess later.
Looking at the Multiple Listing service this morning I was so sure no one would show up at the open house since all the open houses were concentrated in another area. To my surprise I had good attendance. So, I must say thanks to all the agents who stopped by. As I mentioned, the schedule was tight and I got out of there with just enough time to make my doctor's appointment.
So, I finally got home and decided to address the brownie mess. I noticed a few pieces were missing so I know that my son liked it, Since this was mostly chocolate I decided that letting it sit in the fridge would make the brownies firmer. It worked and my husband thought the flour-less brownies tasted like a flour-less torte. So. I'm glad to see it wasn't such a mess after all.
