Are you a First Time Home Buyer in New York; but like most buyers need some assistance with closing cost?
Debra Walsh in her Blog tells you about a grant that could provide an additional $2000 for closing.
The New York State Association of REALTORS Housing Opportunities Foundation is assisting individuals in becoming home owners by identifying outside partnership opportunities with organizations that facilitate home ownership and also provide direct support in the home buying process to low-to-moderate income families.
The purpose of the first-time home buyer grant program is to allow those individuals and families who fall under the low-to-moderate income level, the ability to purchase a home by assisting them with their closing and/or down payment costs.
- All applicants must be first time home buyers as defined by the State of New York.
- All applicants must make no more than 110% of the SONYMA Low Interest Rate
- Home prices must be no more than 110% of the SONYMA Low Interest Rate price limit
