Jean Hasbrouck House On Huguenot Street In New Paltz NY

The Jean Hasbrouck house is the first of the historical house you will see if you approach Huguenot street from North Front street.

According to the historical marker in front of the house it was built around 1712 but some further research now points toward the 1720's.  If that was the case,  then Jean never lived in the house since he died in 1714, so the house was probably built by the son.

Today the Jean Hasbrouck house is also called the Memorial House and is now  home to a museum about the Huguenot settlement as well as the Huguenot Historical society.
