Olana a must see Hudson Valley Historic site

Olana a must see Hudson Valley Historic site .  This beautiful inspired Persian designed home is perched high above the Hudson River , and enjoy spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains.

This was the home of Frederic Church a painter; and I must say for inspiration he picked the perfect spot for his house and studio.  Having visited Olana during each season I can understand why one would be mesmerized by the views down the Hudson River as well as those of the Catskill Mountain.  Fall is approaching and I can’t wait to see the fall foliage from up high at Olana.

So where exactly is Olana?  It is located just minutes outside of the City of Hudson NY at 5720 Route 9G,  Hudson NY 12534.  There are a variety of ways to get to Olana, including by train.  There is an Amtrak station in Hudson and you could take a taxi to the site.

The Video below will give you a preview of the type of breathtaking scenes you will see.  When you visit you will then understand why I consider Olana a must see Hudson Valley Historic site
