Will you be part of the Red Hook 10% Challenge on 10-10?
A few days ago I ran into Sue Crane, the Red Hook NY Town Supervisor, at the Business Expo at Bard College. Sue was enthusiastic about getting residents to sign up for the 10% challenge.
What is this challenge anyway? This is how it is defined on the website:
It is a call to reduce our town's energy use by ten percent over the next year and to get 10% of our co-workers, citizens, or social network involved. Here are 10 ways you can get involved:
- Compost it
- Walk it off
- Lead the way
- Efficiency measures
- Changing Transportation
- Ramp up Recycling
- Grow it
- Reuse it
- Shop Locally
- Discover Renewables
Kickoff tomorrow will be at the Linden Ave School. 
The event will run from 10AM-4PM
