Monday's Flower - Echinacea

Echinacea

Echinacea is a coneflower, a perennial which bloom June - August.   It comes in a variety of  vibrant colors, and makes the garden come alive in the summer.  This plant will grow to a height of 2-5 feet,  love full sun and will grow in fairly dry condition.

What's attracted to the Echinacea Plant?

Birds and butterflies.   I am also glad the deer don't find the Echinacea plant appealing.

How is the Echinacea plant used?

Supposedly it has medicinal benefits and is available in tea, juice or tablets.  I use it as cut flower to add color to a fresh flower arrangement.
