Speechless Sunday-Low tide, high tide

These are a couple of photographs I took on a recent trip to Gloucester MA.  The first photo was at high tide and people were having fun with the waves.  It was not a sunny day, but was good enough to listen to the waves and take a dip.

High tide in Gloucester MA

The second photo was taken on another day at low tide.  Where did the water go? Now it was even possible to walk out to the island and some people did.  I started to walk out too, but with stitches in one foot it was not the best idea.  Then I thought of the parting of the Red Sea, and that was even more reason for me to head back to shore.
